FAQs

01

Why is the cost for Sister, Sister RE•CON higher than previous events?

We understand that the cost may seem higher than in previous years, but it’s important to consider the rising costs of hosting events. While lodging, meals, and activities are not included in the registration fee, we’ve worked hard to keep the event affordable compared to similar retreats and conferences nationwide.

In 2022, we held a similar event at a much lower price point, but after slow ticket sales, we ended up offering it for free and had to use personal funds to cover the costs. As a widow with a loss of income, I no longer have the same resources. This year’s price reflects the reality of covering the essential costs—high-quality sessions, facility rentals, and the extras that make the event special—while still delivering a valuable and spiritually enriching experience.

02

What is included in the registration fee?

Your registration fee covers several high-quality speaking sessions, deep spiritual insights, a swag bag, morning coffee, and evening desserts. We’ve also included special print materials, such as bookmarks and registration credentials, to enhance your experience. In addition, the fee helps cover the cost of facility rentals, AV support, and more. While lodging, meals, and optional activities like the Zip Drop or Guided Hike are not included, the registration fee ensures that we can provide you with a top-notch spiritual experience and thoughtful extras throughout the retreat.

03

Who is this retreat for?

RE•CON is for women of all ages (14+) and walks of life who are looking to draw closer to God and to find spiritual refreshment. Whether you're going through a storm or simply seeking more of the Holy Spirit’s guidance, this retreat is designed to help you reflect, recharge, and renew your spirit. We’re fostering a sisterhood of faith where every woman is welcome and seen.

04

What should I bring to the retreat?

Bring comfortable clothing for the sessions and activities, a Bible and journal for notes, and an open heart to what God has in store for you. If you’re participating in outdoor activities like the Zip Drop or Guided Hike, don’t forget to pack suitable shoes and gear. You may also want to bring a water bottle, personal toiletries, and a light jacket for cool evenings.

05

Can I come alone, or do I need to attend with a group?

You are more than welcome to attend RE•CON on your own! Many women come solo and find it to be a wonderful opportunity to connect with new friends. We intentionally create a welcoming environment, and you’ll quickly feel part of the Sister, Sister family. Whether you come with friends or by yourself, you’ll leave with a deeper connection to God and to other women who are on the same spiritual journey.
